[SPayLater] Troubleshooting SPayLater checkout issues

Circumstances may arise where SPayLater users cannot check out at your store. If your store(s) are already onboarded with SPayLater as an available payment option, kindly review below for troubleshooting steps:

  1. Customer’s SPL account is frozen 

Account freeze may be due to having unpaid overdue bills, no linked payments to SPL, or other account related reasons. Users may resolve by paying all SPL overdue bills, linking a payment method to their SPL account, or contact Shopee CS for further assistance.



  1. SPayLater customer limit is insufficient

Payment Amount is more than Customer’s Available Balance

Users can check their available balance within their SPL Homepage:

Under Me Page > Select My Wallet > Select SPayLater > under Available Balance, users will then reduce the amount of their order (if possible) or use alternative payment methods.



  1. Payment amount lesser than SPL minimum checkout amount

For any discounts, promotions, or vouchers reducing the Total Payment under SPayLater minimum checkout amounts:

$0.30 for 1-3 month tenures

$1.10 for 6 month tenure

$1.60 for 12 month tenure


  1. Incorrect ShopeePay PIN 

For security purposes, users will be required to input their registered ShopeePay Pin for every transaction. 

If incorrect, the user may try again for up to 2 more times. 

If limited, please guide user to reach out to our customer support for further assistance.


     


  1. User does not have the option of SPayLater

A customer may not be have the option for SPayLater if they are not:

-A Shopee SG Mobile App user with previous order history

-Selected by Shopee to have the feature of SPayLater 

If SPayLater is not available, users can use ShopeePay or other available payment methods to complete payment.

To check for SPayLater eligibility:

Shopee SG App > Under Me Page > Select My Wallet > Determine if SPayLater is available


⚠️Note If the issue persists, suggest buyers to:

  1. Checkout using other available payment methods 
  2. Reach out to Shopee Customer Support for further assistance.
