Shopee Affiliate Program FAQ

Q: I want to sign up for the Shopee Affiliate Program. 

You may sign up for the Shopee Affiliate Program here and find out more about it on our SAP siteLooking forward to receiving your application. 

 

Q: Where can I retrieve my Affiliate ID & Username?

Log in to Shopee Affiliate Platform > Top right hand corner click username > Account settings> Account Information.

Q: I know I need to log in to my Shopee account prior to access the Shopee Affiliate Platform. But I forgot my Shopee account login credentials. Can you help me?

Q: My affiliate account has been approved, but I realised that it is not tied with my personal Shopee account. How can I link my personal Shopee account to my affiliate account?

Due to privacy and security reasons, we are unable to amend your account details that have been approved on the platform. Should you want to change the Shopee account that is linked to your affiliate account, kindly follow the steps below:

1.   Un-link existing mobile & email from affiliate account

Click Shopee Affiliate Portal> Login> Change your mobile to ‘23456789’ & an email that is NOT your existing one > Logout // This is so that you can use your existing number and email for the next step.

2.   Create New Affiliate Account

Click Shopee Affiliate Portal> Enter now> Login> Enter your MAIN Shopee username and password that you want to link your affiliate account> Fill in details with existing number and email to register for new  affiliate account 

3.   Email us the email/username that you have entered when you sign up for the account at affiliate_sg@shopee.com

Should you go ahead with this, kindly note that we are unable to transfer any earned commission to the new account and we will deactivate your old affiliate account. 

 

Q: Can I apply for the SG Shopee Affiliate Program if I’m not based in Singapore/currently residing overseas? 

Our team handles SG affiliates and if your readers are not mainly from SG, we would recommend you reach out to the respective market Shopee Affiliates Team instead.

 

Q: While trying to register for an affiliate account, I did not receive an email verification code.

Please check your spam/junk folder for the verification code. Otherwise, please re-request for a new one.

 

Q: How can I amend the social media URL that I put during my sign up?

Log into the Shopee Affiliate Platform >  Click on 'Account' > Click on 'Account Setting' > Scroll down and click on 'Social Media' > Input your social media channels

Q: How to check if I am already logged in to my affiliate account? 

In order to access your Affiliate account, you’ll need to log in to your Shopee account that you’ve used to register for the Affiliate Program. Once you’re logged in, on your Shopee app, you’ll be able to see “Share & Get Cash” section when you clicked on the “Me” tab. 

 

Q: Can I generate multiple affiliate links to promote 2 products at the same time?

Yes, you can generate and share as many personalised product links as you wish.

 

Q: Can I create an affiliate link that will direct my followers to the Shopee homepage?

Yes, you can generate an affiliate link to the Shopee homepage in the following two ways: 

  1. On Mobile: Click Shopee App> Login> “Me” Tab> Share & Get Cash> “Account” tab> Convert Link> Paste this URL (https://shopee.sg/)> Click on “Convert”
  2. On Desktop: Click Shopee Affiliate Portal> Go to Custom link> Paste this URL (https://shopee.sg/)> Click on “Get Link"

Q: On the Custom Link page, what are the Sub_id fields for?

If you have more than one social platform, you can track your respective platform performance by including Sub_IDs. This allows you to know your best-performing social platform to optimize accordingly to maximize your commission earnings. 

To track the Sub_ID performance, you can key in your sub_id in the Click Report or Conversion Report to assess its performance. 

 

Q: I just copied the product link from my Shopee App. How do I know if it is my affiliate link?

Upon generating your affiliate link, Your affiliate link should be in this short link format: https://shope.ee/3poh74Bvt2

Should you wish to verify the affiliate link if it belongs to you, click on the link to obtain the full URL link. 

Using the example above, this is the full link:

https://shopee.sg/shop/71756544?utm_campaign=-&utm_content=---utm_medium=affiliates&utm_source=an_14301390001&utm_term=8n6b28nofhgj

The code after “utm_source=an” is your Affiliate ID (yellow highlighted). Hence, if the code corresponds to your affiliate ID, this means that the affiliate link belongs to you and the commission earned will be attributed accordingly.   

 

Q: Why do I not see any Brand/Product Offers on the affiliate platform?

You will be able to view any brand/product offers if they are made available to you.

Q: Are the QR codes generated from the downloaded product images (on mobile) trackable, unique and personalized to the affiliates? 

Yes. One way to check is to look at the landing URL from the QR code. If the affiliate link includes the affiliate id (yellow highlight), it’ll be trackable.

Q: My followers/friends made some orders through my affiliate link, but why is it not reflected on my conversion report?

Please allow a few days for the order(s) to be reflected in the Conversion Report. Some items or shops may be excluded from the affiliate program from time to time due to prevailing regulations or seller opt-out. For these exclusions, orders won't be recorded and no commissions will be awarded upon successful purchase. Please ensure that you check the prevailing commission rates through your Affiliate Portal or your link sharing interface.

Do note that the Shopee Affiliates Team is unable to check on any 'missing' orders/conversions, hence we're not be able to provide support for queries around this topic.

 

Q: I just clicked on my affiliate links, but why do I not see any clicks recorded on the Click Report?

Please allow 1-2 days for the click(s) to be reflected in the Click Report. 

 

Q: Why doesn’t Shopee show unpaid orders on the Affiliate Platform?

This is so that you can see their commission and budget utilisation more accurately for better performance monitoring, and eliminate the possibility of fraudulent orders that can inflate the conversion rate.

 

Q: How can I monitor the clicks/conversions coming from the specific affiliate link that I have generated?

When generating your affiliate link, you can add a text in the Sub_id fields to make distinctions on the multiple affiliate links that you have created. After which, to track the Sub_ID performance, you can key inyour sub_id in the Click Report or Conversion Report to assess its performance. 

 

Q: Why are my items marked as Cancelled but the buyer did not cancel the purchase and the items are delivered? 

Some items marked as "Cancelled" are identified as Fraud by our system validation. 

Kindly note that we have a fraud check system in place to validate conversions to ensure they follow the affiliate terms and conditions before the commission amounts can be confirmed. The system will run fraud tagging on all validated orders and reject the ones that are tagged as Fraud.

Personal or household purchases via affiliate links are not encouraged as most likely it will be marked as fraud due to similarity in contact/shipping address.

Do note that fraudulent activity tagged by the validation system is final, and the team is unable to check on or overwrite orders marked as fraud.

 

Q:  Why are my latest commissions missing? 

Under 'Latest Conversions', orders will only be marked under 'Completed' status after it has been validated. 

Kindly note that we have a fraud check system in place to validate conversions to ensure they follow the affiliate terms and conditions before the commission amounts can be confirmed (which usually takes 2 months). The system will run fraud tagging on all validated orders and reject the ones that are tagged as Fraud.

Your estimated commission earnings (before validation) are no longer reflected on this page. For your validated commission earnings, please refer to 'My Income' Page: In the Shopee App > Find the 'Me' tabat the bottom right > Scroll down to find 'My Affiliate Portal' > Find the 'My Income' tab and click in.
