Terms and Conditions for “Shopee Video New To Video Program”

General

1. The following terms and conditions govern your participation in the Shopee Video New To Video Program ("Program") provided by Shopee Singapore Private Limited ("Shopee") on Shopee’s websites and mobile applications (“Platforms”).

2. By participating in this Program, you agree unconditionally and irrevocably to be bound by, and shall be deemed to accept, these terms and conditions and any rules and regulations relating to the Program (“Terms and Conditions”), in addition to Shopee’s Terms of Service, Shopee’s Privacy Policy, Shopee Video’s Terms of Service, Shopee’s Voucher Terms and Conditions, T&Cs for Shopee Games and/or Giveaway Events and all applicable terms and conditions and/or Shopee policies (“Shopee Policies”), which are incorporated by reference into these Terms and Conditions. Capitalised terms used and not defined herein shall have the same meaning as given to such terms in the Shopee Policies.

3. You agree that Shopee may use your personal data submitted (including your name, voice and/or biographical information) for the purposes of conducting and administering the Program, and for promotional, advertising, marketing and other purposes in accordance with the Shopee Privacy Policy.      

Eligibility & Participation

4. To be eligible to participate in the Program ("Participant"), a Participant: 

a. must have a registered and valid Shopee account; 

b. must be registered as a Shopee Affiliate under Shopee's Affiliate Program; and 

c. must not have posted any videos on Shopee Video. 

5. Shopee shall have sole and absolute discretion in determining whether an individual has qualified to participate in and/or is disqualified from the Program. For example, a Participant will be disqualified from the Program if a Participant is not registered as a Shopee Affiliate under Shopee’s Affiliate Program or if any fraudulent activities are detected (including the use of multiple Shopee accounts, whether directly, via an intermediary or otherwise such as multiple accounts being traced by Shopee to the same device, which is prohibited per the Shopee Terms of Service). 

Program Mechanics

6. The Program will begin on 6 March 2025 at 0000 hours. 

7. Participants must:

   1. Duration: 15 to 60 seconds.

   2. Product Link: Video must include at least one valid product link.

   3. Content Compliance: Video must be a new video that has not been posted on any other platforms. 

1. Post their first video on Shopee Video that meets the following criteria:

2. Submit the video via Shopee’s official Google Form for verification (“Submission”). 

Rewards

8. There are 2 categories of rewards (“Rewards”): 

1. 1. Standard Reward: A Participant with an Eligible Video will receive 500 Shopee Coins.

   2. New Launch Special (6 - 31 March 2025): A Participant who submits the Submission between 0000 hours on 6 March 2025 to 2359 hours on 31 March 2025 (both dates inclusive, unless notified otherwise by Shopee) and whose video is subsequently verified as an Eligible Video will receive 1,000 Shopee Coins.

9. Only videos which are successfully verified by Shopee (“Eligible Video”) will be eligible for Rewards. 

10. If you have submitted an Eligible Video, Shopee will notify you, through the Platforms, about the Rewards that you have earned. 

11. Rewards will be credited to the Participant’s Shopee Account within one (1) month after the successful eligibility verification of a Submission.

12. Rewards are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or other items.

13. Rewards can only be redeemed on the Platforms.

 Miscellaneous

14. By participating in the Program, you agree that you shall:

1. 1. comply with all applicable laws and regulations when participating in the Program;

   2. comply with the Shopee Policies; and

   3. not participate in the Program in any manner which may adversely affect other individuals or the goodwill or reputation of Shopee. 

15. The availability of the Program is subject to the availability and functionality of resources including but not limited to the capability of the Platforms. The Program and the Platforms are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Shopee does not make any representation, warranty and/or undertaking on the performance and capability of the Platforms; any software or hardware used to access and participate in the Program, including an individual’s access and use of the Platforms; and the reliability or quality of the underlying telecommunications network accessed and used by an individual to participate in the Program. 

16. If for any reason any aspect of the Program is not capable of running as planned, including by reasons of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of Shopee, Shopee may cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the Program and invalidate any effected activities. 

17. Shopee reserves the right to make final decisions and resolve disputes regarding the Program. Shopee may disqualify an individual from participating in the Program (as further outlined in Section 5 of the Terms and Conditions), to forfeit any Shopee coins issued and/or to take any other action pursuant to the Shopee Policies, if Shopee determines (at its full discretion) that an individual has engaged in any suspicious, fraudulent, illegal acts, abuse the Program or otherwise breached these Terms and Conditions and/or any of the Shopee Policies. 

18. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable laws, Shopee will not be liable for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind whatsoever arising out of or in connection with this Program or with the acceptance of any Shopee coins including but not limited to any losses; direct, indirect, incidental punitive and consequential damages; fines; regulatory actions; claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, right of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in false light.

19. Shopee reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions without notice, or withdraw or discontinue the Program at any time without any notice or liability to any party. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any marketing or materials relating to the Program, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

20. Shopee may, at its sole discretion, decide to waive any provision of these Terms and Conditions (including any requirement to provide specific documents or information) with or without notice to the Participant.

21. Any and all rights of interpretation and explanation of these Terms and Conditions are exclusively reserved by Shopee.

22. Any reference to a time of day is a reference to Singapore time unless otherwise stated.
