[eGIRO] What is eGIRO (Linked Bank Account)?

eGIRO is a direct debit authorization payment method that enables you to top up your ShopeePay account directly from your linked bank account.

 

There are 5 banks available for eGIRO payment option:

  • DBS
  • UOB
  • Bank of China (BOC)
  • HSBC
  • Maybank

 

You can now use eGIRO to top up your ShopeePay account.

 

⚠️Note

  • To Top-up with eGIRO, the minimum top up amount required is $20 per top-up.
  • Starting 1 Sept 2025 onwards, eGiro payment method for Marketplace purchases will be discontinued. However, eGIRO will still be supported for ShopeePay wallet top-ups.

We are streamlining our payment options to focus on enhancing core features and the overall checkout experience. However, the discontinuation of eGIRO payment option will not affect other features or services on Shopee. You can still complete purchases using other available payment options and continue to top up your ShopeePay wallet using eGIRO.

 

When will the eGiro (Linked Bank Account) payment option be discontinued at Shopee Marketplace checkout?

eGIRO payment option will be discontinued on Shopee Marketplace checkouts effective 1 Sept 2025. After this date, you will no longer be able to use eGIRO to complete purchases on the Marketplace. However, topping up your ShopeePay wallet via eGIRO is still available and unaffected.

 

What payment options can I use instead of eGiro (Linked Bank Account) at Shopee Marketplace checkout?

You can use all other available payment options listed on the Marketplace checkout page here. If you previously used eGIRO, you can update your payment preferences by simply selecting any of the available payment options during checkout. Additionally, you can continue to top up your ShopeePay wallet using eGIRO.
