This new In-App Chat feature now allows buyers to communicate with SPX drivers directly via the Shopee App and will be available from October 17, 2024 onwards. There are 3 entry points that will direct you to the in-app chat with the driver:
Through Push Notifications
Chat List (Go to Shopee App > Click the Chat icon at the top right)
Through Driver’s card in the Shipping Information page > Chat icon.

Q: Should I start using the in-app chat to communicate with the rider?
A: Yes, starting from October 17, 2024, buyers may use the in-app chat as the main mode of communication with your SPX rider.
Q: Should I message the rider first?
A: Yes, you may message the rider throughout the day when your parcel is out for delivery. Please check your PNs / messages regularly and reply in a polite and timely manner.
Q: Why is SPX using the in-app chat?
A: SPX is here to assist you! Right now, our riders use WhatsApp or make calls for communication, but that info isn't connected to the driver app. We're working on integrating an in-app chat that lets buyers share info directly with your driver app.
Q: Will the chats be monitored?
A: Yes, SPX has a built-in monitoring tool to track chat interactions and messages. This helps us enhance the feature and pinpoint where we can improve our service. Plus, if there are any disagreements between you and the rider, the in-app chat will give us a better understanding of the situation.
Q: Why am I not receiving push notifications from Shopee App?
A: You can refer to this article to allow notification on your Shopee App in order to receive the push notification. At the same time, you may also need to check your device's notification setting, kindly refer to this article.
