[ShopeePay] How do I activate the Kill Switch?
1. What is a ShopeePay Kill Switch?
ShopeePay Kill Switch can be activated to freeze your ShopeePay wallet with immediate effect if you suspect you are a victim of a scam, or when your account details have been compromised.
The Kill Switch disables all of the following:
Top up and auto top up transactions
New account linking
Outgoing payments
Incoming and outgoing transfers
Bank transfers
2. How do I activate the Kill Switch?
Follow these steps to activate the Kill Switch:
- Select Settings under ShopeePay Settings in Shopee app
- Tap on “Kill Switch” under ShopeePay Settings
- Input PIN/Biometrics for verification.
- Select a reason for Kill Switch activation.
*Once Kill Switch is activated, you will only be able to deactivate it by contacting Customer Service. - Confirm activation of Kill Switch
- Kill Switch successfully activated.
3. How do I deactivate the Kill Switch?
To deactivate, please contact Shopee Customer Service, or refer to the Help Center here.
