Step by Step Guide for Integrated Trade In

Integrated-Trade-in is a service where customers can exchange their old electronics for a discount on the purchase of a new device.


Step 1: Buyer checks out the new device with a completed survey.


Option 1: From Product Display Page

  1. Select “trade in” for a quotation.

  2. Fill up the questionnaire to get a value estimation for the trade-in device.

  3. Select the new device and view the quotation summary before checking out.

 


Option 2: From Checkout Page

  1. Add a new device to “My Cart” and proceed to checkout. 

  2. Select “Trade in” and get a value estimation for the trade-in device.

  3. Select “Doorstep Delivery by Carousell” and proceed to place the order.

 


Step 2: Carousell will reach out to customers via Whatsapp on the scheduled trade-in delivery date (alternatively, contact will be through SMS or call).

 


Step 3: After setting the scheduled delivery date, please ensure that the following check list is completed before trade in delivery schedule time:

  1. Ensure your device is backed up, all personal data is erased, logged out of iCloud or any Google accounts before the scheduled trade-in date

  2. Remove any accessories, SIM cards and memory cards

  3. Disable the stolen device protection feature at home if you are using an iPhone and  intend to complete the transaction at a different location from your place of residence. Our agents are unable to wait for device backup / security delay processes to be disabled at the point of delivery



Step 4: On the scheduled day, please show IMEI and proof of identification (Singpass, NRIC, or Employment Pass) to the Carousell’s agent for verification.

 


Step 5: Carousell’s agent checks the condition of the old electronics.

  • If the condition of the old device matches what was declared in the survey, the trade-in process is completed.

  • If the condition of the old device is worse than what is declared in the survey, the Carousell courier will request a top up via PayNow. If the buyer doesn’t want to top up, the order will be cancelled.
