Step by Step Guide for Integrated Trade In

Integrated Trade-in is a service offered by Shopee, where you can get a quote on your old device and trade it in for a direct discount on your purchase of a new device

Step 1: There are 2 ways for you to initiate a trade-in


Option 1: From Product Listing

  1. Select “Get a Quote” to start the trade-in process

  2. Fill in the questionnaire to estimate the trade-in value of your old device

  3. Select the new device and view the quotation summary on the discounted price

  4. Read and accept the Terms & Conditions to proceed with checkout

Option 2: From Order Checkout Page

  1. Add a new device to “My Cart” and proceed to checkout

  2. Select “Trade-in” to start the trade-in process

  3. Fill in the questionnaire to estimate the trade-in value of your old device

  4. Read and accept the Terms & Conditions to proceed with checkout

Step 2: Our trade-in partner (Rebonics, a Carousell Group Company) will contact customers via WhatsApp (Official: Sell to CAROUSELL) to schedule a trade-in delivery date 


You may refer below for a sample of our scheduling message:


Dear Shopee Buyer,


Thank you for choosing Carousell as your delivery and trade-in partner. We have received your order through the Shopee Trade-In program.


Please confirm your details by replying to this message so that we can proceed to set up delivery and trade-in arrangements. We will not proceed to schedule a delivery date unless confirmed.

Kindly note we cannot guarantee a specific time within this window.


Please ensure that:

· your data is backed up. No data transfer / backup is allowed during trade-in

· the device and buttons are functional, and are able to power on without the charger plugged in

· Stolen Device Protection is deactivated, and be ready to log out of any activation locks (e.g. iCloud, Samsung account)

 

If you are unable to meet these conditions, please inform us & cancel your Shopee order.

Step 3: Please ensure that the following is completed before the scheduled delivery date:

  1. Ensure your data is backed up, all personal data is erased, logged out of iCloud or any Google accounts

  2. Remove all accessories (e.g., SIM cards, memory cards)

  3. Disable the stolen device protection feature at home if you are using an iPhone and intend to complete the transaction at a different location from your place of residence. Our agents are unable to wait for device backup / security delay processes to be disabled at the point of delivery


Step 4: On the scheduled delivery date, you are required to show IMEI and proof of identification (Singpass, NRIC, or Employment Pass) to the Rebonics agent for verification purpose

 

Step 5: Rebonics’ agent will perform checks on the condition of the old device

  • If the condition of the old device is worse than what was declared in the questionnaire, a top up via PayNow is required. If you do not wish to top up, the trade-in order will be cancelled.

  • If the condition of the old device matches what was declared in the questionnaire, no tops are required and the exchange between the old and new device will be carried out
