What is Payment Lock?
Payment Lock is a security feature that lets you temporarily block all financial transactions on your Shopee account. If you suspect someone else is using your account without permission, you can activate this lock to stop any unauthorised payments, transfers, or purchases from happening.
How do I activate Payment Lock?
Go to Settings > Account & Security on Shopee.
Select Payment Lock.
Complete a quick verification to confirm it’s you.
Once activated, all payments and fund transfers will be blocked.

What Happens After Activation?

You’ll receive an email and push notifications confirming the lock.
You won’t be able to make any purchases.
If you want to make purchases again, you will need to deactivate the lock through your account & security page or on the on-screen instructions in your Shopee App.
How do I deactivate the Payment lock?
To deactivate your Payment Lock, please follow the steps below:
Navigate to your account & security in settings and select the "Deactivate Payment Lock" option.
For your security, you will be prompted to complete a standard Identity Verification (IVS) process.
Once the verification is successful, the Payment Lock will be immediately deactivated.
You may be asked to provide a brief reason for your initial activation; this feedback helps us improve our security features.
Your account is now updated and you may now place orders normally.
