[SPayLater] Is there any fee charged when I use SPayLater?

Note: Starting 8 December 2025, Monee is introducing longer instalment tenures of 18 and 24 months for SPayLater. These longer instalment tenures will be rolled out in phases, and may not be immediately available at all sellers or to all users.

Using SPayLater may involve interest and other fees, which vary depending on the seller and your chosen instalment tenure.

A. At Participating SPayLater Sellers

When you shop at participating sellers, you can enjoy lower interest:

  • ​0% interest for 1-month and 3-month instalment tenures.
  • A reduced interest rate of 0.5% per month for 6-month and 12-month instalment tenures. 
  • 1% interest per month for 18- and 24-month instalment tenures.

B. At Non-Participating SPayLater Sellers

For purchases with Shopee Mall sellers, a standard interest rate of up to 1% per month will apply to instalment tenures between 6 months and 24 months.

For purchases with sellers outside of Shopee Mall, a standard interest rate of up to 1% per month will apply to all instalment tenures.

⚠️Note:

  • The monthly repayment amount shown on the checkout page includes both the principal amount and any applicable interest.
  • Additionally, there are two types of fees that may be incurred for SPayLater users:
    • A $5 Late Payment Charge for users who do not make full repayment by the bill due date.
    • A $1 Handling Fee for processing manual repayments through Credit/Debit cards. (Auto repayment and manual repayment through ShopeePay and PayNow will not be charged)

  • Monee may from time to time, offer interest rates which are lower than those set out in the tables above to selected users and/or for selected tenures. The interest amount will be notified to you prior to checkout.

  • The 18-month and 24-month instalment tenure options are being rolled out in phases. These are not currently available for purchases at offline merchants or for purchases under $50, and may not be immediately available to all users.
