Your phone number may already be linked to an existing Shopee account. A phone number can only be registered under one Shopee account (same for email addresses).
There are 2 possible reasons why your phone number may already be linked to an existing Shopee account:
1. You have an existing account with the same phone number
You might have already signed up and created a Shopee account before. Do try to recall the password and log in to the existing account. If you have forgotten your password, learn how to reset your password.
2. Your phone number was recycled
As phone numbers may be recycled by service providers, it is possible that your phone number previously belonged to someone else.
This does not mean that the previous owner has any access to the Shopee account linked to your phone number, it only means that outdated information still exists in our system.
During the signup process, you can Reclaim Phone Number. Once you do so, a verification code will be sent to your phone number, and you’ll be able to continue with the signup process.
