Shopee Product Protection FAQs

Shopee Product Protection is an additional service that can be purchased on Shopee, allowing users to keep their Shopee purchases safe from accidental and/or liquid damages as well as protecting against adverse reactions of product use. This service is provided by third party service providers, XCover.com, & Igloo & PasarPolis. 

 

 

1. How do I purchase the Protection Service?
 
To purchase the third party protection services for an item, select Electronics Protection, Gadget Protection, Damage Protection or Product Liability Protection  on eligible products at the checkout page and Place Order.

⚠️ Note 

  • Electronics Protection is offered when purchasing electronic appliances.
  • Gadget Protection is offered for mobile phones, tablets, and smartwatches.
  • Damage Protection is offered for other merchandise within eligible categories such as: furnitures, bags, and clothes)
  • Product Liability Protection is offered for Beauty, Health and Mom & Baby categories.
 
2. How do I find my policies through the Shopee App?

 

Select see more icon on the homepage > Digital Products > Product Protections > My Policies > Swipe to view To Pay, Purchased, Expired, and Cancelled policies.

3. Can I cancel my product protection policy?
 
The Protection Service cannot be cancelled after the delivery of the eligible products (i.e., completion of the order as shown on the Shopee platform).
 

4. Will I receive a proof of purchase of the product protection?

All users will receive a push notification (PN) informing you of your purchase upon order is completed. You will be able to access the ‘My Policies’ page from PN.

 

Additionally, users who are registered on Shopee via your email address will receive an email confirmation upon order confirmation. This serves as your e-certificate.

 

5. What should I do if I have not received or lost my e-certificate after purchasing the Protection Service?

  • If you did not receive your e-certificate for Electronics Protection, you may contact Igloo

For users who did not provide an email address to Shopee, or if you do not recall the protection service you had previously purchased, you can view the e-policy on your Shopee App by going to see more icon on the homepage > Digital Products > Product Protections > My Policies > Swipe to view To Pay, Purchased, Expired, and Cancelled policies.
