Identity verification is used to secure monetary transactions and protect your personal information when you're using the Shopee App.

For users with a ShopeePay account, this is done via uploading your IC on the Shopee App or verifying your identity via SingPass. 

When you verify your identity, you can also get access to more functions with your ShopeePay account. 

If you have not been prompted by the Shopee App to verify your identity, you can also keep your account secure by adding your phone number and email address. This way, we have more methods to verify it's you when we detect suspicious activity on your account.
